NL –  Villa Zilverberk, opgelijst op de lijst van bouwkundig erfgoed, werd gebouwd in 1939 en omvat architecturale elementen uit de “Nieuwe zakelijkheid”. De woning was naar de straat gericht en had geen contact met de prachtige tuin aan de achterzijde. De nieuwe transparante dubbelhoge aanbouw, laat met één enkele ingreep de woning baden in licht, stelt ze open naar de tuin en verbindt gelijkvloers met de verdieping. Eerbied voor karakter van woning en bewoner, samen met een spel van licht, doorzicht en ruimte wordt gecombineerd met energetische zelfvoorzienendheid. De verlichting en de inrichting met het maatmeubilair maken het interieur helemaal af.

EN – Villa Zilverberk, listed on the list of architectural heritage, was built in 1939 and includes architectural elements from the “Nieuwe zakelijkheid” movement. The house was facing the street and had no contact with the beautiful garden at the rear. The new transparent double-height extension, allows the house with a single intervention to be bathed in light. It opens the house to the garden and it connects the ground floor to the first floor. The respect for the character of the house and its residents, merged with a play of light, transparency and space, is combined with energetic self-sufficiency. The lighting and the furniture layout complete the interior.
